The next ‘Uni in the Brewery’ series at the Five Islands Brewery on will showcase UOW’s A/Professor Paul Cooper’s recent research on renewable energy from our oceans.
Also on the agenda will be recent progress on Wave Energy Conversion (WEC), particularly Wollongong’s own wave energy demonstration project by local company, Oceanlinx. Examples include the latest developments overseas such as the recently commissioned Pelamis Wave Farm in Portugal.
Uni in the the Brewery is a lecture series aimed at the public. It gives people the opportunity to learn about the various research projects conducted at the University of Wollongong and to be involved in lively discussion with the presenters. Free to the public - Come for a drink during happy hour and stay for some trivia afterwards.
