The Illawarra Greens are pleased to hear that the Minister for Lands, Tony Kelly, will accept representations from residents on the Wollongong City Foreshore Plan of Management, which was approved by the Council prior to its sacking

The Greens recently asked questions in Parliament to the Minister for Lands, Tony Kelly, about the plans for massive tourist development on Crown Lands at Wollongong Harbour. On being asked whether, given the revelations about Council operations and endemic corruption, the Minister would consider community representations before making his decision on the plan, the Minister replied that he would.

However, the Minister also said that he would not be terminating the expression of interest process for development of the area.

We would therefore encourage all interested residents to contact the Minister to relay their concerns and objections to the proposals, at:
