RIVERS OF SHAME 2 - FILM LAUNCH

April 7th, 2008
May 8, 2008
1:00 pm

Thursday 8th May
You are invited to the launch of our new film Rivers of Shame 2 on Thursday May 8 at the State Parliament Theatrette at 1pm.

This film is the sequel to our very successful 2006 film Rivers of Shame, and further highlights the issue of mining impacts on rivers in NSW. More importantly this new film covers the damages to swamps, springs, soaks and aquifers as well as rivers, and completes the story of the damage to our river systems and other water supplies across the state. This effectivly joins all stakeholders including our forty community groups, farmers, grape growers, graziers and horse breeders currently lobbying the government individually about the mining damages to water supplies.

The film runs for 30 mins, to be followed by a discussion session. Copies of the film will be available by pre-ordering for $4 each from Maurice Blackwood at mozzieb@ispdr.net.au or 46327 506 or 0417 218462.

It will be preceded by a protest activity in Macquarie St outside Parliament House from 12.15.

We hope you can make it.
Julie Sheppard, Secretary , Rivers SOS
