The Illawarra Greens today called on the NSW Government to hold an election forWollongong City Council as soon as possible, following yesterday’s decision to sack all Councillors.
Convenor of the Illawarra Greens Jill Merrin said, “The Labor State Government’s decision to sack the Labor-dominated Council, because of systemic corruption in the majority of Labor Councillors, and replace them with Labor-selected administrators, only serves to punish the people of Wolllongong further.”
